Hedley House Hotel & Apartments, York

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was charming with a lovely walk along the river, but some room elements were a letdown. The service was friendly, but a lack of communication was a downside. The dining experience was delightful, but there were some issues with the shower in the room.

The hotel had clean and quiet rooms, but they felt a bit tired and dated compared to the beautiful décor in the reception areas. The rainfall shower in the bathroom was a nice touch. The service was welcoming and pleasant overall, though there was a minor mishap during one meal. The location was excellent for exploring the city on foot. The dining experience was good, especially the black pudding. The facilities were sufficient for a comfortable stay.
